Results from - About the audience (2) questionnaire

This is the second part of the about the audience questionnaire and includes more in depth results about The Feelings brand, products, the feelings influences and appearance. This has helped me further identify what the audience thinks of the feelings products, as this will show me what i should include in my products.

The Results
  1. They describe the feelings brand to be; pop arty, indie, professional
  2. The majority dont own any of the feelings products
  3. The people that do buy the feelings products buy their albums, these would be either 'Twelve Stops and Home' the more pop art style of cover and 'Join with Us' which is similar but only one photograph of many physical objects
  4. The reasons why they buy the feeling products is; to support the feeling and help promote them, to collect them as it is made of a good standard
  5. The audience describe the feelings 'Twelve Stops and Home' cover to be; bold and bright like their music, funky, quirky, colourful, cartoony, happy, bizarre as it doesnt give a clue about the band or their music, retro and inventive, they all have the same underlying message.
  6. Only 30% of the audience have seen the feeling live
  7. The audience said that the feeling re-enforces their image live by; the clothes they wear, the songs they sing, the professionalism and innovation, the performances are alot rockier then their albums 'I think the feeling would appeal more to people live than on album'
  8. 28% of the audience thought that the feeling had influenced them
  9. It has influenced them by; 'making me listen to more of their music and similar bands', 'the feeling, particularly Dan have inspired me to start playing guitar and writing music', 'inspired me to be fearless, not only musically, but in life as well'.
These results have allowed me to look into how the audience of the feeling see the band, as this is how they should be represented on the digipak and cover. I need to think about how the feelings live performances influences their artwork but also how the artwork influences the audience, and how i can convey that same message to the audience.
