Pop art cover

I will be using Adobe Fireworks to construct the pop art cover as this allows me to use vector graphics to create the cartoon style images like the ones on the cover of 'Twelve stops and home'.

This is during the production process, i used the vector tools in Fireworks to create and manipulate the shapes.

I used the pen tool to change the shape of graphics that i created, for example making the twist of the bows on the shoes.

I used the text tool to insert text onto the cover, this is for the train ticket, the home mat and the numbers on the clock, which i then rotated.

To give the graphics more texture, i changed the texture of the full of the graphics to make it look more realistic, like the smoke texture on the leaf, and the dots on the shoes.

This is the constructed cover -

This was my first attempt at creating vector graphics, and it didnt turn out as well as i thought it would. This has made me realise how much harder it would be to create one of the feelings pop art covers and how much effort goes into designing and constructing it.
